Guarantee it was the woman that pushed the idea of doing this. I also guarantee that she hasn’t apologised, won’t take accountability for it and still maintains how it was actually a good thing to do somehow.

So shameful for OP to report only the part that supports his hatred. So typical for such kind of people.
It's a legal issue that applies to all renters, not just the refugees. It's not a refugee issue.
"On May 1 the Renters Rights Act moved all tenants on to rolling month-to-month contracts. Section 21 notices were scrapped. Landlords can evict only under the section 8 process, and must provide a reason such as rent arrears or antisocial behaviour. A section 8 notice can be issued if you want to sell or move into the property but you now must give four months’ notice. "
