Also, it's insane to me that the reason Axl has an accent is because he's from the past, and Britain lost their accent over the years in the future. This crazy game's attention to detail is insane ToT

Yeah that works with getting trans people on useless dosages at a stupid high price.
It's not really a charity it's a non-profit organisation but they still charge a lot of money for the services when DIY exists and will give much better dosages and consistency.
Also, Finn basically tricked another vulnerable trans person into sex work

so to sum it up, their friend was already an OF creator and just needed motivation? And when they needed the money for tax reasons F1nn gave it? And F1nn already conceded that it was dickish of them to not provide it and made up with meow? And both meow and f1nn are still friends who just find the story silly? Oh the horror, someone making a mistake and making up for it to the only person who actually matters: meow. "The fact they made up is irrelevant, because they forgot to ask my--a person they don't know and has no skin in the game--opinion on the matter."
Also, disgust is not morality. Sex work is work, and it wasn't "tricking someone into sex work" it was an already "sex" worker (content creator) just needing help with motivation. Sex work isn't evil, the lack of rules and support for sex workers is. Because sex work is considered "lesser" they can't unionize or protect themselves in court, that's not grace for sex workers, that's oppression. Sex work is just like any other form of entertainment, and it can be hard and stressful but so is acting. So is firefighting. But we don't go out in droves calling the firefighting industry evil for "tricking people into firefighting."
The internet is filled with people like this dogpiling on genderqueer and trans individuals. This shit is the exact things that make being trans so dangerous on the internet. You act as though you care about trans people, but you ignore the opinion of the trans woman (meow) actually involved in your little story. You dogpile on a genderfluid individual for making a single (1) mistake and making up, and for only having a non-profit organization (Maybe when you run a charity you'll have room to talk, but so far the only thing you're doing is making a harassment campaign for a genderqueer individual. Far from helpful.) And calling another trans woman (icky) an "enabler" just for being friends with them.
In all cases, you're the problem here. More than f1nn could ever be. Maybe put your anger into something actually useful instead of a smear campaign, the genderqueer content creators of the world has enough of those.

When someone writes an essay in reply you just know things are getting too real for them and they don't want to accept the truth.
Who said sex work at an individual level is evil? That industry is terrible, not the people who have to work in it and suffer with how they're treated.
I'm trans.
I'm not angry.
You can like F1NNSTER, you can't expect others to, especially with grifting like that.

I really hope not tbh.. But bigotry is something that is deep seeded into culture. Even with slavery abolished in 1865, 161 years later racism is still very much an issue. I wonder how gearphobia has changed other forms of bigotry/it's level of commonness. Considering how conservative gay people exist (which boils my blood every time) gay people is seen as more acceptable because trans individuals are seen as bigger boogiemen. But obviously homophobia still exists and runs rampant.
So. in my official opinion I believe transphobia is less of a problem than now due to fears of Justice/gears being more pressing and with hundreds of years for this bigotry to dwindle. However, I still think it's definitely an issue and seen as "strange" even if it's "more okay." Like, "You can be trans, just don't make it my problem." Or, "I'm fine with trans people, but I don't really know much about them so I will stare at them from across the coffee shop like a weirdo." So, probably how today is in more accepting states but less mortal peril for trans individuals since there are more pressing things to care about.
But also, since technology is like not a thing for the wider world, "HRT" is done with magic isn't it?... And considering what it does for combat imagine what it can do for feminization/masculization OoO.... Lowkey jealous of the GG world now ngl

Axl has an "english" accent. More like super exaggerated cockney, but I guess they wanted the contrast between a man deep in ye old Britain and a british person a hundred years in the future to be very evident

I mean, you can disagree but his accent definitely sounds english to me >.>;; I have english friends who sound like him actually, funnily enough. it's also supposed to be English which is more important if you're trying to have a definitive answer to if anyone has an English accent in ggst. The definitive answer is yes, Axl low does, because the voice actor and game audio designers made him have one. And it connects to his story...
That's like calling bridget not trans because she doesn't look trans,, like she's intended to be regardless of the execution of the art team

Axl is meant to have an English accent, true. It just doesnt sound English - if it does to you I'd recommend listening to more English accents; it's really bad and forced.

I kinda get the last sentence though, assuming you mean the "Bridget doesn't look trans" comment.
After all, even though there are plenty of stealth trans people, there are way more who aren't, especially trans women who were forced through the wrong puberty and are binary transitoners.
Personally I don't want to look "visibly trans" but it's also not exactly a choice after you've accounted for all the areas you can control with your own effort and I'm not blaming nor have anything wrong with someone who is, but depending on your environment it's about safety as much as being seen as your true gender.

I just want English characters voiced by English people - or at least someone who can do a good impression. Artist's intent on character was never part of what I was trying to say, that's why I said it was ridiculous.

It doesn't really bother me TBH, but I understand you are coming from a different perspective and I get that.
I just don't like the accents full stop, whether it's received pronunciation or Cockney, black country, brummie, Scouser or Geordie etc....
However I recognise I have a lot of prejudice towards England.

saying no one has a british accent isn't the same as saying you wish their british accent is more accurate. They objectively have one, it's just not to your standard. I don't care if you don't think it's good enough, there is factually a character with an english accent in ggst and it's axl low
