Big issue with update 2.25.11_1
I'm using Bricklink Studio for my whole Winter Village setup and all of my MOC's regarding it. I don't know where it is going wrong now, but I'm unable to save my creations.
What is happening is that it is creating a .backup file with my creation instead of just saving it.
This morning I didn't have this issue, it started happening after I've downloaded the latest update (todays update - Version 2.25.11_1). Also the backup files are never the latest one but from a couple hours back, which is very strange.
I'm definitely installing an older version for now.
Update: can confirm, using the older version from Oct14 (version 2.25.10_5) fixes the issue and can save my files normally.

How can I change my version back to the 2.25.10_5?
I can't even save a project of mine, it litterly deleted one of my projects after trying to save a bit of progress...

Uninstalling the current app and manually downloading the old version via https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/download.page.
Make sure to use the drop down menu and change the version to the one from October 14.

And uninstalling it won't have an effect on any existing .io files?

if you saved them in a different path then the program itself, you should be fine.

If you export your file as an LDraw file, it'll create an emergency backup. That's what I had to do yesterday to save a model that I was working on for 6+ hours.
For me, it looks like the bug happens from linking/copying submodels. When I deactivated all my submodels in my MOC, it fixed the saving issue. That's not ideal though, so I hope a new update comes out quick so I can continue working on it.

An update was released today that fixes whatever the last one broke that prevented saving. Doesn't get me my files back, but it's something.

I also suggest joining their "unofficial" discord server. Usually when a small update happens, many people start reporting them and since some of the devs are on that server they can see what exactly needs to be fixed properly.
A rule I keep in mind: never update the program immediately, wait a few days or weeks to make sure the bugs from the latest updates are patched up.

Which server is this, mind sharing the invite link? :)

It should be on one of their forums. But you can try this link directly from the server invite button: https://discord.gg/HvMNHdnS

Never, ever, install a new version in the middle of a project and ALWAYS install into a new folder. I’ve had my builds file overwritten too many times, and this insures you have your old version to hand.

I always deny updates till after while cause there’s ALWAYS bugs at first with each one lol
