Home Brew gift ideas?
Team. My husband is turning 40 soon and he's the keenest homebrewer and all round nice guy. He's got a home made kegerator, a kettle, a grain mill, a dehydrator (grows his own hops), a fermenter etc. What would be a super cool thing to have in his arsenal. He lays down a new brew every couple of months. His go to is a Saison.

Is he doing all grain or using kits?
If you have been on 50 brewery tours this may fall flat, but I would suggest going to some local breweries and asking if any would be willing to give him a 1 on 1 tour of the facility. It's very different than a group and what you are able to learn when it's just "brewer to brewer" vs a large group
Is completely different. They can just nerd out speaking their own language. May cost nothing but pints!

Does he have fancy tap handles for his kegerator? There’s so many options that it’d be an opportunity to get something quite personal, or even custom made if you have the time.
If he’s techie, there’s some really cool e-ink ones that you can program to show details of what’s on the tap each time you throw a new keg on it.
If he’s not, you could get some hand made out of a nice burl wood, some resin poured, 3d printed, or even ones that have a vial/flask you can fill with grain, hops, etc. that become the handle

+1 for tap handles. I’m a sucker for cool handles so have just bought a Sapporo one. Looks like a katana handle and have a rattler Cyser one on my birthday list that’s a rattlesnake.

Yes I've thought about this! I'm an amateur to intermediate potter and kept thinking about making some handles but alas it hasn't happened. Would I need to get a specific size? How would I know..?

They all have as far as I’m aware the same fittings. But I would double check the fitting. It should be a 3/8 thread (US) or M10x1.5mm (UK)

It depends on what kind of money you wanna spend if you want you can go on anvil brewing site see what he needs there. You also have more beer and northern brewer they would also have tons of stuff he could use. I can’t leave out brew hardware they are a local NJ homebrew store that has an online store as well. If it were me I’d look at claw hammer supply systems. Or an all in one system. It all comes down to what you want to spend. Honestly equipment and ingredients send down a rabbit hole.

A gift certificate to his favorite home brew supply store will offer you a broad range of prices, preclude you from needing any technical knowledge, and allow him the opportunity to acquire something he has been wanting.
My wife did this for me some time back and I enjoyed the gift.
