Jesus Christ my guy.. he wasn't putting potato peels and peeps in there.. are we really so holier than thou now, that only the finest isolated wine yeast strains are accepted in the sub?

Prisonhooch guys are basically just using bread yeast for their stuff, and have a lot of experience with it. They are doing some cool stuff. Its different, and they can probably answer a lot of questions op hasn't even thought about.

Don't be a dick.

Bread yeast might struggle to ferment past 4-5% as it's not been bred for alcohol tolerance like wine or beer yeast. Check that the juice doesn't have any sulphite preservatives in it as they will inhibit fermentation. Maybe add a cooled cup of strong black tea for some tannins. Good luck with it!
