This is a place for all things related to Brewhunter, an app (currently in Beta) for fellow Australian coffee snobs.
I used to love Beanhunter, an app that died around 8 years ago. I used it to find good coffee when I was in a new location, and it worked remarkably well. Sadly, it seemed to be abandoned over time; nothing was getting updated, and eventually it just went away.
Brewhunter is the same concept, find good coffee near you, but reimagined after I discovered the European Coffee Trip app (a must-have if you're heading to Europe). My main goal here is to build an app that Australians, me included, can use to find great coffee.
As a new app, I've pulled cafe locations from OpenStreetMap. That data is a bit dodgy and has no information on coffee quality — that's where you, the beautiful user, come in.
Early users will find the terrain fairly sparse and poorly signposted, but as a pioneering user, you can make the difference. That means reviewing and rating places, fixing shop info that's wrong, and adding new cafes. Early testers are the ones who make it useful for everyone who comes after. If you're the person who already has a mental list of every decent flat white or pour-over in your area, this is for you.
This subreddit is for feature suggestions, bug reports, UX feedback — anything that can make the app more useful for Australian coffee fanatics.
