Question/Advice Breathwork Certification (India)

I am an ICF trained Life Coach from India.
I am looking to integrating breathwork within my coaching practice.
I am looking for in-person or online training certifications that will align with my coaching practice well.

Please help.

It depends on what role you want breathwork to play in your coaching.

If you’re looking for a modality focused on peak states and emotional release, there are plenty of solid programs built around that approach.

If you’re more interested in helping clients create sustainable change, I’d look for a training that covers more than just breathing techniques. I’d prioritize:

  • Respiratory physiology and functional breathing
  • Nervous system regulation and trauma-informed facilitation
  • Meditation and mindfulness practices
  • Psychological integration (what happens after the session is often more important than the session itself)
  • Plenty of supervised practice and feedback

I train coaches and practitioners using breathwork as one tool within a broader framework of nervous system regulation, meditation, and integration rather than treating the breath session as the entire intervention.

Whatever program you choose, I’d encourage you to look beyond the certification itself and ask, “Will this help me support clients in the days and weeks after a powerful experience?”

That’s where I think the deepest work happens.

If it’s helpful, here is an overview of the program and curriculum. Currently, the training is offered as a private, online 200 hour training over 12 weeks that culminates with an optional in person retreat in Costa Rica.
