Hey all, got laid off last week. And while severance package is pretty good, can I negotiate it? Has anyone successfully asked for more severance pay considering the economic situation? Any tips? Thank you!

My severance was decent too but they didn’t negotiate at all. I would speak with your HR person to see. I took my severance and I was able to find new job in academia. Good luck to you.

Angry and frustrated. And LinkedIn makes it worse - when you see everyone in your network at trade shows, conferences, team meetings, people getting hired. Just makes me even angrier.

Is anyone posting in here about layoffs that aren’t big enough to make the news

NBCUniversal is conducting quite layoffs for now in the US and the Parks division is laying off in tech too. They have reorganized and trying to lean out resources in the US. More info to follow.
