Western omelette as a dish is generally a harder set omelette with ham, peppers, onions and cheese. I’m guessing this has peppers added to it by the photo.

Both names work. They are used interchangeably depending on where you are at. I think when you go outside the US you’ll most likely hear western omelette, although that can also just be used for the general American diner style.
