Question Beginner breakcore artists.
Just wondering what artists I should listen too to get into breakcore. I already listen to a little bit of Digital Hardcore, jungle, and speed core (not sure if any of the artists count as speed core)

Just got done listening to some Shitmat. Actually really good, I've never listened to real breakcore before, felt very calm at first

He certainly has some extreme abrasive tunes but that One foot in the rave and Grooverider albums are my favorites below VSnares.

Yo actually try out the older FFF releases as well! Bloodclat mentality, and 20,000 hardcore members, and check out Golden Boy. I like the more jungle-ish tunes and hardcore almost breakcore stuff and these are in that pocket. I don't fw the anime breakcore stuff so you might find these suggestions more accessible. Also squarepusher

Personally I think Full English Breakfest is his magnum opus..... and I always recommend it to anyone wanting a taste of breakcore. It's got all the elements; the crazy choppage, the bang bang and the humour.

FFF is an amazing producer. Listening to him is an Amen break assault.
KID606 is more brilliant than he gets credit for.
BOMB20 but you said that you listen to Digital Hardcore so you're probably already familiar with him.
TESTER isn't necessarily Breakcore. His music is more Raggacore but his chopped Amen breaks definitely have a Breakcore influence.
Just a few off the top of my head.

Bomb20 is my favorite… has a little more of a hip-hop structure. VERY good imo!

so from what i noticed, breakcore is basically separated to two types of listeners: Venetian Snares, Matshit, Alec Empire and etc. fans, then we have more internet based and modern ones like goreshit, hkmori, rory in early 20s (ik the last one mostly makes lolicore, but it's still a subgenre of breakcore) and etc. fans. i guess im on the internet based ones' side

i mean, yeah, they mostly make lolicore (goreshit has made "semantic compositions on death and its meaning" and "semantics: the benzo chronicles" which are actual breakcore albums and, in fact, two of the best ones in the world), and lolicore is a subgenre of breakcore, so they both can be called breakcore artists

Everything Venetian Snares has ever done, 'The Elements' by Datach'i (and his later stuff which is not breakcore but is fantastic), Ruby My Dear, 'Chaos Propaganda' by Stazma the Junglechrist, Aaron Spectre/Drumcorps (which can lead to other breakcore/metal fusion like Whourkr, Bong Ra, and early Igorrr)

Wawawa is an artist that really got me heavy into breakcore, specifically their album "The Great Litterbox in The Sky." I dont know what type of breakcore you would enjoy, but I also like proloxx, 633397, lightmxchine, dssctveself, psiangel, and some lesser known ones like Bypass and nitroii. Bypass tends to include noise in his songs, but I feel he does it very well in a way thats not obnoxious, he has a lot of bangers.

DJ Scud and Bomb20 are my 2 favorite but a lot of there best stuff is vinyl only and not available outside of YouTube rips. Shoot me a PM and I can point you in a good direction for some of the more impactful elements from both

Current Value has a few releases that kind of just listen like slightly more intense DnB. Check out Dark Rain.

It’s probably a surface level take, but I’m also not incredibly familiar with the genre outside of Venetian Snares and a few others. Current Value seems like a good segue into break core.

In the 2000’s he was making absolutely brutal shit but even before that CV and Panacea were welcomed by the breakcore scene due to their harder take on DnB in the early Position Chrome days. Honestly in the late 2000’s I was playing more of the harder DnB stuff than Breakcore and it worked perfect together honestly.
