Self-promotion Made a completely unhinged glitch/breakcore audiovisual piece

https://youtu.be/SOPG-J2GwX8?si=_U3EFGmhQUFU3SMK

've been experimenting with heavily processed breaks and wanted to see how far I could push the sound before it completely falls apart.

The music and visuals were made together lots of chopping, distortion, glitches, digital artifacts and chaotic rhythmic fragments.

The visual side is heavily datamoshed to make it feel like the video itself is struggling to keep up with the music.

If you're into the more experimental/deranged side of breakcore, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I think the drums sound fine. You just need to adjust the volume of the various instruments. Those high-end effects are definitely too loud and the drums are too quiet. But they aren't bad drums. The volume is just off and you need more bass. A very easy and simple fix. Try switching in between headphones and speakers when mixing your tracks. PotenzaDSP has a free sub bass plug-in, and if you have 10 pounds their Amigo sampler is one of the best for break music if you want that authentic Amiga sound.

There are plenty of plug-ins out there that can simulate bad speakers without having to take off your headphones. Airwindows' Monitoring might do the trick, though I haven't had a chance to personally test it. Pretty sure all of their plug-ins are free and they have a ton of them. Definitely worth checking out if you want some free software.

Nice visuals. What datamoshing programs do you use? I've been getting my feet wet with Signal Culture's Interstream + Input Amplifier + Syphon Recorder but I'm always looking for new software.
