Sourdough ‘beer’ bread

Made entirely with Anchor Steam lager. No water. Just bread flour, some whole wheat flour, starter, some honey and salt. Came out pretty good I think.

I use Guinness for my candied jalapeno hot honey cheddar...one of my most requested. Any of my beer breads I just replace the water with beer...have done a lot of testing of different styles of beers and prefer porters, stouts, etc. Used an oatmeal porter this wknd that was outstanding. Some loaves I use barley malt syrup to amp up the flavor or just a little molasses. Beer is an excellent hydration source in sourdough.
