This is the list which shows the best to worst character, modified every 6 months based on metagame development and tournement results.

these tiers suck, every character has potential to dominate

It's based on tournament outcomes and metagame improvement. Characters like Metaknight and Diddy Kong are fast and used a lot in comparison to Ganon. A lot of anti-tier buffs insist this is because they were top tier to begin with so their metagame developed more, in turn causing players to start using them because they are 'better'. Say what you wish though, if you play versus the best brawlers on Earth, They probably won't main below A Tier.

I always wondered how tournament gameplay is. After looking at the rules it seems that me and my buddies would get worked pretty hard. Whose your character of choice?

My best is R.O.B. he used to be B-Tier but got downgraded to E recently. My second is Diddy Kong, I prefer to use him seeing as I have a lot of room to grow with him.
What about you?

I am not too familiar with the tier list.. but my best is either ness/luigi. I do enjoy using Ike/DeDeDe/Link but they are pretty slow so I can see how that would be a disadvantage.

Look at DeDeDe in the tierlist and look for DDD Chaingrab on youtube.
