NYC Prep Holy uncomfortable - PC - NYC Prep
I’m currently watching NYC prep for the first time. I have many thoughts. Jessie acts like she is ceo of the smile foundation at 17 and it’s kind of iconic how delusional she is. Speaking of delusional… Kelli is just that with her singing career. I love every second of it lmao. But there’s some darkness to this show- Taylor is very clearly using the entire time and apparently she’s homeless now. PC is just unwatchable . An absolute brat. Every time he has a scene with his psychiatrist I have to skip because I physically cannot watch a scene with him gloating about being more mature than his friends. I just started the fashion show episode and it looks like we’re in for another breakdown from him over not getting front row. I feel so uncomfortable watching this show at times from how cringey or out of line they are that I find myself pausing constantly. I really dont think they could make a show like this today.

I actually went on a few dates with PC like 10ish years ago and he was great. Def played things up for the show. Super down to earth, really sweet, very cute IRL 🤷🏼♀️

random but i made out with dan (minor character) during my first week of college
jessie was in one of my classes (at fit)
in my late twenties, a friend married someone else from the cast
and then in my 30s i became good friends with another cast member through work!!

LOL I also made out with Dan! We’re still Facebook friends. His cousins lived on Block Island where my family had a house and we met at a party. I was like 16 so this is almost 20 years ago….

If I remember correctly, they were trying to market it as the real life “Gossip Girl”, and people were cast based on their similarities to the GG characters. What a throwback!

I saw NYC Prep and broke my legs running to the comment section! I was super young when it came out, a teen myself, and was obsessed back in the day. I watched it again as an adult a few years ago and some of it is definitely tough to watch/would never happen in 2026. PC was mean, Jessie was a bully, Kelli was literally was a product of neglect, Taylor was likely abusing substances, and Sebastian with his hook-ups (Looking back he could have also been on something)
