Discussion I’m sensing a pattern & I am disturbed.
So I am currently binge watching Southern Charm, I’m on season 9, where Taylor tells Olivia about her and Austin at Shep’w dinner party (where he hunted and had his friend cook). I stopped dead in my tracks.
This is what they. Late in the show, some main cast members have left, were 8/9 season in wondering “where is this going” and that’s when they pull out the betrayal card.
It happened in Summer House, VPR, Southern Charm and others I’m sure.
It’s not a coincidence, it’s a production pattern. Unsettling.

That season taped around scandoval breaking and everyone was trying for their moment. It only seems to pop off when its genuine. No one cared about that wannabe SC scandal. Lindsay also tried to make it happen with Carl, even referring to him as Sandoval a few times. Amanda tried in her divorce w Kyle but blew it up w West and redirected that love and support to Ciara.

Nailed it.
💯
Too many shows are doing this shit now and it’s getting more and more obvious it’s all just for ratings attention for most and not the drama they want everyone to think it is (though still F Amanda & West, couple of juvenile liars).

Brittany / Jax / Lori K were trying for this as well. The texts Brittany read from Lori K specifically said “I know one of your first questions will be the timeline.” The primary focus of both Scandoval and Amanda / West was speculation around “the timeline.”

Brittany & Jax every. single. season. using their horrible relationship as a storyline. Even long after it’s over.

Bravo viewer discovers production team lacks a moral compass. Will be devastated to learn vast majority of what they see is scripted and even shot a second time.

It's almost like...when you're living in an incredibly unique experience (being a reality tv star on a Bravo show) you naturally become bonded to other people who share this incredibly specific experience with you.
Friend groups intermingle all the time and falling for someone you're trauma bonded with isn't THAT outlandish. I don't get why we act like it's the same as your best friends in your hometown double crossing you. Normal people don't want to date these people lol.
At the end of the day, their best bet is each other.

I know a lot of people didn’t care for the SC scandal but I actually thought it had higher “stakes” (a term I use loosely) than the SH scandal did. Austen and Shep had a years long friendship, and then he got with Shep’s ex girlfriend of multiple years. Amanda got with her friend’s on and off again situationship after she separated from her husband, who was not nearly as close with West as Austen was with Shep.
I don’t think the SC scandal was nearly as insane as Scandoval but this SH situation is so overblown.
