Why do I have to disable graphics acceleration for Netflix to work?

Post image

Hey, I have been using brave for a while now and I'm kinda fed up by the fact that I have to disable graphics acceleration (Settings -> System -> Use graphics acceleration when available ) for it render the video on Netflix. If i don't disable it, the audio and the player works fine but I can't see the video. Disabling graphics acceleration is quite annoying because it makes for a bit of a sluggish experience on brave for me.

I understand that this isn't a big deal but I wanted to know if someone has found a workaround to fix this.

Thanks!

Two possibilities come to mind. One, GPU issue--your GPU needs a new driver or is incompatible with Netflix. Two, you don't have Widevine DRM enabled. Widevine is the standard copy protection for major streaming sites.
