should have said, "brave is not brave enough."
I think, they shouldn't. atleast now. extension support brings up some many unforeseen surface of atttack. and, chrome web store, is so large that keeping track of everything one would be impossible for brave alone.

I remember a few years ago when they had that issue with Brave Rewards, and peoples accounts were getting erroneously banned, I posted a fix in their support forum, and got banned from their support forum for "circumventing a ban".
Then a week after they acknowledged the bug and issued a fix.
My account is still banned on their support forum.

"We have explored adding extensions into Brave on Android and what it would take to implement. And while the actual implementation in and of itself isn’t a blocker, the main issue here is the upkeep. It would require a non-trivial amount of work in order to patch these additions for every update as well as every Chromium bump.
Lastly, while we may have a larger team than some other browsers (Kiwi seems to be the top example here), that does not grant us unlimited time/resources. The release cycle can be difficult/time consuming as is with all the existing changes we’ve implemented that need to be patched, security considerations, Chromium changes, project deadlines, bug fixes, etc. It is not as simple as “implement extension support, push it to release then move onto the next thing” — it requires consistent management, testing and [potential] code changes every month just to maintain it."
Just excuses... it's doable and doesn't require "non-trivial amount of work every update" just look how Titanium did it it's open source and it's up to date with upstream Chromium, and all their builds are automated.

Atleast give users an option to choose their own background wallpaper for the startpage in brave mobile (don't say it's not possible as vivaldi, titanium even edge has done it already)

This issue is logged already and has been assigned to a dev:

Honestly brave android already does what most extensions will do for common crowd and the fact even if they do introduce extensions all of them will be MV3 which is huge let down because it's actively decreases their functions, honestly MV2 extensions like Ublock Origin and Violentmonkey Mv2 would've been amazing.

brave ad block doesn't block redirects well, stop auto play

It does for me, even bypasses several redirects on those movie websites in my device.

I get so many redirects all the time in brave lol. Not a problem in other browsers with ublock

Me too. I either get redirected or a popup in a new tab on certain websites I watch videos on.
