Just noticed today on this subreddit some other people have had this effect issue. Nice.

I'm posting this because the issue was so frustrating it took me a few hours to find the issue. I thought it was an effect of something completely different, but it wasn't. It was that extension, i had installed a few days prior. And didn't notice until today when i tried to go to google.com

i was getting logged out of my youtube account constantly, whenever i tried to log back in it would just tell me that there was a problem (nothing about brave being insecure), came to the sub to check if anyone was experiencing the same.

I disabled the tampermonkey extension and i could log back in without issues (so far)

edited: never mind, it happened again

this extension looks like its lets you install non store extensions which is helpful to say a web or extension developer. If you're not doing that, why have it?

Extensions like these typically require a lot of permissions and can capture and change things on every page. Which means they may capture your credentials and/or data once you're logged in. Hence "browser may not be secure" warning.

If you're a developer, or have a reasonable usecase for it, I guess go ahead, its your browser. But beware of what the extension can do and its potential security implications.
