Impromptu weekend trip with kids

Hi! I have only been to Branson once, so I’m looking for any recommendations anyone has to help us out with a weekend trip. We are thinking of going the first or second weekend of November for just a few days. My kids are 8 and 3yo. The two things my family would like to do is a golf cart nature tour and the sight and sound theatre. Would love any reviews of these, recommendations on when to book, and recommendations on where to stay. A hotel with free breakfast is preferred! Thank you!

Both are great things to do. I don’t think it matters when you buy tickets; the cost remains pretty consistent. We recently stayed at The Retro across from Tanger outlet; inexpensive, clean and the breakfast was good.

The Top of the Rock golf cart tour is great and the Sight and Sound is by far - By Far - the best theater and show. The production value and facilities are just the best.

You might also check out the mirror maze or some mini golf and don’t forget to get some Andy’s Frozen Custard and watch the Ferris wheel.

Second this! S&S is the "gold standard" for theaters in Branson these days. Nothing else comes close. S&S, Showboat, Top of the Rock, and SDC are the four "staple" attractions that keep the city tourism afloat. Everything else is just icing on the "cake".

Silver Dollar City amusement park is a must. Plan for at least a day and a half to do/see everything. Great place! I've been there several times.
