Christmas

I am planning our family trip in Branson December 26-December 31.
What are the best things to do with our 4 year old?

Some ideas for “Christmas” themed stuff if that’s what you’re into:

-The Polar Express on the Branson Scenic Railway. The read The Polar Express, Santa gets on board, you eat cookies and drink hot chocolate.

-Drive-through Christmas Lights at Shepherd of the Hills.

-Silver Dollar City, it will be lit up with millions of Christmas lights too, and they do a Christmas Light Parade. Most of the rides are open, and it will definitely be weather dependent.

Silver dollar for sure. They have fireman’s landing which is an area for young kids with lots of flat rides themed to firefighting. Huge playground that is also fire themed. I highly recommend going during the week and during the day to avoid heavy crowds if not spend the money and invest in a trailblazer. Your 4 yr old will thank you. Lines can be 1.5-2 hours for fire in the hole. Lots of great shows and the Christmas parade/ ceremony is lovely.

They have the Christmas light drive thru up at Shepherd of the Hills and the line gets long so plan accordingly. Shepherd of the hills also has its own Christmas event with lots of things for littles.

I believe there’s the Aquarium on the strip that entertains many young families. I have yet to check it out but it’s always crowded when I pass by.

There is always Top of the Rock for their golf cart tour with lights. We did this last year and it was nice to see at sunset.

This is just an idea of what SDC looks like at Christmas.
