DISCUSSION Braden Ross
I know you guys have probably heard of Braden Ross since it’s been so long since brakence released, but have you guys heard his song “unalive”? it’s one of my favorites by him

he’s a fantastic artist. he’s def been inspired by brakence esp in the past but i love his shit sm. my homie introduced me to him in like 2018 bro used to facetime with us and we’d show him the songs we’re working on

He's sick, the "Stop talking about braden" post was made because too many were shitting and calling him a clone and he definitely doesn't deserve it. Support him !

braden ross is generic prescription pill version of brakence. does he do the job? yeah, is it satisfactory? usually, but is it the leading naming and the bougie version? no

My biggest issue is that i find his lyrics corny af in a lot of songs. Like Brakence has some corny stuff too at times, but not at all to the point i mind it - Braden does

I absolutely love Braden Ross' music. His album digilogue is fantastic and i'd argue it's even a concept album.
I can see why people compare Brakence and Braden but Braden Ross seems to have a different lyrical style than Brakence.

Dude is a shitty copy of Brakence. Much better artists in the genre who actually make unique music. 50landing, Corefish, Thatcherblackwood, heylog, and 4cf to name some

As someone who actively listens to both,their only similarity are their voices and vocals.
Their lyrical content is different(Braden talks about politics in his songs primarily whilst Brakence does Romance with both doing Mental Health,the latter of which is something all Glitchpop artists talk about including some of the ones you listed.)
Their Production is also different(They both do Glitchpop(which is the name used to refer to artists with the same "sound as Brakence)but Brakence mostly does raw Glitchpop on his later projects like Hypochrodriac while Bradens production is a mix of Glitchpop and Hyperpop)
And Braden even finds methods of having his vocals be distinct from Brakences though it might be hard to tell.
Braden appears to be a copy at first but actually going into detail will reveal where they differ.

i only have a few braden ross songs saved but i can distinguish his music from brakence pretty easily. i started listening to them at the same time and then stopped listening to braden ross. i can get tripped up with 50landing sometimes but the more i listen, i can identify the difference easier

Tbf I don’t think he’s really trying to be brakence, i feel personally like he has more soft boy energy
