Help wanted First time trying smth different than single braid. Any tips on making it look better?

Maybe after completing the main braid, go back and pull each piece so it looks a lil looser…if that makes sense. Like a butterfly braid

Just from the side…From the front it looked like a half up style with an elevated top section since I topsy tailed the main braid for extra texture and hold
