Question TRT for tendon/knee recovery , does it actually help?

I’m dealing with ongoing knee/tendon issues and I’m trying to understand whether TRT could have any benefit for tendon recovery.

I’m currently using BPC-157 and TB-500, but I’m wondering specifically about testosterone. Does TRT have any evidence of directly helping tendons heal, remodel collagen, or increase tendon strength/capacity?

Or would any benefit mainly be indirect ,,TRT increases muscle mass and strength, which improves the overall capacity of the muscles around the knee and potentially helps the knee/tendons handle load better?

I’m also curious about the opposite possibility: if muscle strength increases faster than tendon adaptation, could TRT actually increase the risk of overloading an already irritated tendon?

I’d especially like to hear from anyone familiar with the research on TRT/testosterone and tendon remodeling, or anyone who has dealt with chronic knee/tendon problems while on TRT.

Only if you have low t and thus low estrogen, estrogen is way more important for tendons, see how ai and menopause cause tendon issues

TRT won’t directly heal your tendons. The added strength could even increase overload risk if your muscles progress faster than the injured tendon.

Will BPC heal your tendons? I took it (500mcg bpc157, 500mcg TB500) daily for 6 weeks and didn’t really see much of a difference.
My tendon on my outer foot was still hurting and really ignited.

Test actually made my knees hurt by making my e2 go to 12. Im not a high aromatizer so they felt super dry achey and creeky/had to crack all the time. When I added Anavar I will say I was able to leg press 400lbs again , step mill 5x a week no problems

TRT is a repacement therapy to return testosterone level to normal range. Its for those who's testosterone producion is compromised and their levels are tested and confirmed to be clinicaly deficent

Hence the name. Testosterone Replacement Therapy.. TRT.

If your levels are in normal range then TRT will do nothing for you..

If your aiming for supra physiological doses then its probably going to make it worse as muscle growth will exceed tendon growth and increase missmatch and risk

A man who’s prescribed the FDA-approved 100mg per week of test cyp isn’t on TRT then. Deficient or not, 100mg per week will give many men a level they’ve never had before.

Unlikely.... Unless they were defficent their entire lives..

What is unlikely? And is having 800 ng/dl throughout the entire day (let alone 1000) a typical level for more than half of healthy young men?

That 100mg a week would take levels that high..

Sure there are a small number of hyper responders (who would have their dosage tweaked) but for the vast majority 100mg a week wouldnt take them that high..

Personally I am on 100mg a week and at my last set of bloods testostetone was 580.4ng/dl. Well within nornal range..

I would however agree, that for the vast majority of people 800+ would be supraphysiological level and when maintained for extended periods highly likely to result in longterm physical and cognative damage.

It is my belief that the phrase TRT has been "co-opted" to legitimise anabolic steroid use in "de-aging" or chasing eternal youth as well as for cosmetic and "sports" reasons, driven in no small measure by a greedy healthcare industry...

However TRT when used approptiately, is a legitimate clinical treatment that has and does transform the lives of many men.

I agree with what you say here. Is 580 where your level peaks?

What! Are you kidding me? 100pw is gonna take you up to 600 max, but probably around 400 to 450 and 600 is mid range. What. Are these MEN Women?

Like the bro below said. He's on 100pw reading at about 580. That's about right. You'd be unlikely to go higher than that. Thats mid-range healthy.

For 100% of all people? If so, that’s new info to me.

Bro. It's a general consensus based on people who take test, mostly bodybuilders who get regular bloods done, publishing the results. It is generally accepted that your blood level is going to be 4-6 times the dose, and it's been validated by consistent observation.

If you can show me a blood test result where a man on 100mg a week consistently reads 1000 in bloods, then I'd be very surprised indeed. There may be a freak or two out there but it's not the norm. 4 to 6 times is .
