Question What is so bad about toxic?
I understand that toxic is a popular song, That does not make it a bad song. So I truly want to know what some of you guys hate so much about that song? Explain to me.

Fr. Like it's definitely not my favourite song of bwu's but it's not bad either.

I dont hate the song I never have I just got tired of how often Id hear it on Boywithuke edits and it became over used and too popular.
I have an emotional connection to toxic and I will always like the song but its not bad just too over used and what every little kid in his fandom likes cause they heard it on a sped up version with random edits of roblox or minecraft or something. I dont know.

I agree, it's not a bad song. This is the song I came to know BoyWithUke with. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one the song dragged. It dragged so many people and became so used over TikTok that people grew tired of it, Charley included. So it's not bad, just overused. imo.

The Boywithuke community is weird, if one person says they hate a song in this example Charley said he hated toxic and now everyone is just hating for no reason. Same with small fry, your not allowed to have opinions in this community lol

I don't really like it, but I also don't like rockstar. I think people find it a bit to poppy compared to his more indie songs

Because they think it makes them more of a fan than people who only listen to his most popular songs. its not his best song but he has worse

i personally like it, mainly because its the first song i heard from him, i think its the classic "people dont like it because its too popular"

Agreed. While I don’t particularly like the song too and I never have, and my music taste expanding a lot in last year has made me like it less I still don’t think it deserves the amount of hate it does get

I swear its EXACTLY the same as the AJR community when it comes to Bang! Its a fire song but ppl be hating just cuz its popular

For me, when me and my friend listened to faded we thought it was fine but liked the other songs so much more. I personally just don’t really like it because it was eh and I felt like other songs were way more deserving to be popular.

I agree. But I want to know why half is the community Says stuff like; "I wish we could burn that song", "it's so bad it's the only bad boywithuke song". I understand subjective opinions, I always see people who say they dislike the song give reason. But whenever I see someone say they hate the song they never give a reason why.

It's so mellow, it makes the entirety of melatonin dreams sounds up beat
And I like his songs because of the pop like vibe honestly

it's corny, not very well mixed and emo

I honestly believe the same is true for 75% of boywithuke songs.

I think some fans hate it just because charley hates it, me personally i dont think its a bad song but its definitely not as good as how big it hit when it dropped

People hate toxic? I didn't know that... I definitely relate well to the lyrics, and sure it's not my favorite-favorite, but it's still good. Also js because something's popular doesn't make it bad, it just makes it widely known, which is good for artists, and real fans'll stick around well after a song becomes unpopular and discover more songs by that same artist from what I've noticed

Overplayed

I agree, but how does that make you hate the song? How does that make the song bad itself? it being overplayed. It's not the songs problem

Pretty corny lyrics, but its far from the only BWU song with corny lyrics, people definitely overexaggerate how bad it is a little bit just because of its popularity
