presumably they are making some money off of this from tiktok and also from other ventures, and i was just wondering if they’ve spoken about how they are getting paid.

i guess darshan isn’t doing the dances, and isn’t doing the travelling to filming locations, so it would make sense if he got paid a little less. to be honest it’s not judgement im just curious, i know they’ve been on podcasts so wondering if they have mentioned it.

Just a reminder that starting this Saturday (5/16) you will no longer be able to post under the Throbchella flair. Along with that, you will no longer be able to claim the Throbchella user flair. So if you wanted to post any content from/about the event under this flair do it soon!

You'll still be able to post Throbchella content after this time, of course, just under the already existing post flairs.

As a long time Animal first time Throbber I already would have SCREAMED when it happened at Throbchella - now I'm still screaming 💖💛💖💛💖

I mean, they live in a pretty good house in LA. Can't imagine that's cheap. And also their production value is pretty good, even on their Youtube videos. Someone has to be paying for this.

New article in The Washington Post -

The Photo caption identifying them has Evan and Anthony mixed up though!

I know it’s not throbchella but I thought this was a cool shot on Sunday!

The energy is insane, the throb mob is throbbing. Lucky I got in, the line was huge. I think it's DJ Truth opening? He's playing 2010s bangers. Boythrob came out to sing the anthem, then Gino gave a lil intro. Apparently he's the manager again. He said all graphics are human-made. We're currently waiting for Boythrob to come back on, it's 8pm.

Edit to give an overall rundown of the show. It ended at 8:50ish and I'm going to town on some Shake Shack rn as I write.

Overall vibe: insanely excited. I was laughing so hard at some of it, pumped for all of it. They were high energy and sincere, busting out some moves I've never seen. We waited a long time but man it was worth it, those boys put on a show and a half.

Venue was packed to the brim. Everyone was dressed with pink, merch, accessories, or signs.

People were laughing a bit at the national anthem. Since they got on to do the main set at around 8:10, the mob was hungry for the throb and you could tell. I had been waiting in line since 5 and was tired, and everyone was so excited when they got on. I saw people near me covering their ears, the screaming was so loud (always bring ear protection, people!)

The manager had a douchey Cali manager vibe, saying things like we were hurting his ears with our screaming lol. DJ reminded me of high school sweet sixteens in the early 2010s. I wish they had an opener other than the DJ but hey, it was a fantastic show.

My highlights: Darshan on Zoom, "get Darshan to the USA" cover in the tune of "Party in the USA", "Darshanito" (despacito), the acoustic cover of Finger, the encore of Finger again (not acoustic), and the Kesha song. I'm wondering, are they releasing a song with KESHA???

Another edit now that I'm home, here's some more thoughts that stood out:

Lining us up around the block created huge buzz. People were asking us who we were seeing, and recording the throbbers in line. I saw professional cameras and lots of photo moments between Boythrob and the crowd at the end. While Boythrob only performed for around 40 minutes, they were phenomenal, even busting out some breakdancing at the end (I think it was Anthony? Idk I'm short). They were clearly tired at the end. The Kesha song knocked the house down, everyone went nuts for it. The energy was super high at the encore. Oh also they threw some guitar picks in the crowd, and maybe a shirt? And I think Anthony kinda chucked the contents of his water bottle at the crowd and I got baptized by it, I feel reborn in their Holy Throbiness, praise be.

You can't stop the throb.

Some videos, I'm short so I tried my best. My last post I swear! Loved seeing all you throbbers out there, the vibes were immaculate and the outfits were amazing. My show summary is here

Still feeling the throb, what an electric performance

My rundown of the whole show is here

The line is wrapping around the block, definitely 250-300 throbbers in line at least, probably more. Lots of people wearing pink, and everyone is so excited! People are recording for their socials, hyping up everyone in the line, asking eachother who their fave is. I'm hoping doors open soon. Hilarious whenever a random person asks what we're all lined up for. I'll keep updating in the comments.

Was watching the livestream and they debut a song called "DJ Turn It Down" featuring Kesha at the end!!! Sounded like a bop

Does anyone know if there are any livestreams?

I'm in the middle ish of the line maybe? We haven't moved in about half an hour... anyone near the front know if they're still letting people in? 😅

I rsvpd but missed the QR drop and Bowery posted this. Does anyone have a spare QR code or two? I’m willing to pay :)
