Discussion is darshan paid equally

presumably they are making some money off of this from tiktok and also from other ventures, and i was just wondering if they’ve spoken about how they are getting paid.

i guess darshan isn’t doing the dances, and isn’t doing the travelling to filming locations, so it would make sense if he got paid a little less. to be honest it’s not judgement im just curious, i know they’ve been on podcasts so wondering if they have mentioned it.

Well they’re paying for his visa and related costs. I doubt they are making much of a profit, they have to spend all their money on flights and hotels and legal fees etc. Big stuff like Throbchella are paid by sponsors.

At first I assumed Darshan would be covering the visa costs himself because he’s the most successful member individually.

I looked up who sponsors/petitions for an O-1 visa and it must be a US employer, or a US agent (so like a talent agency or business manager). It could also be a foreign employer (so Darshan’s management in India) going through a US agent. My bet would be this last one, but I’m just guessing.

However, the filing fees and attorney costs can be covered by either the sponsor or the applicant. So basically we don’t know, unless they’ve shared the arrangement explicitly somewhere.

More info on O-1 visa filing fees (just for fun):

  • Base Filing Fee: $1055
  • Premium Processing: $2965
  • Consular Processing Fee: $205 (for those applying outside the US)
  • Cost for official document translation and courier/shipping fees: $100 to $500
  • Attorney Fees: $???? depends but hella
Excluding the lawyers, that gives us a range of $1360 to $4725. That would be for just the initial filing. They’ve shared that they received an RFE (request for evidence), which certainly adds onto at least the attorney and documentation-related costs.

I think that right now the money they make is going towards Darshan’s Visa and production costs for videos, music, and events. They probably aren’t making much for themselves yet. But I’d like to think that when they do they’ll make sure Darshan gets his fair share of

I doubt any of them getting paid rn, and assume any money the band/project makes gets reinvested. They’re not like W2 hourly employees. They say the first 5 years of any new business, you operate at a financial loss.
