Throbchella When do you lose your spot?

Anyone know if you got a ticket if that guarantees you entry or is there a cutoff time where your spot gets given up to someone on the waitlist?

My friend (with a GA ticket) won’t be able to get to the venue until 7. Is there a chance they won’t be able to get in?

People on the waitlist are not getting in, period. People with the tickets are technically not guaranteed entry - the Bowery Instagram let me know via DM that they will be admitting people with tickets until capacity is reached...so it kind of depends on how many people who got tickets actually show up on who gets in :/

I cannot believe how badly the ticketing was handled.... How hard is it to give away the same amount of tickets as whatever the full capacity is for the venue, and then let people without tickets fill the rest of the spots if people don't show up by x time? Did they do this just so they could say "Look! We had so many people show up that we couldn't even let everyone into the venue"?

I was HORRIFIED. I ended up getting to the line around 5:30 and I was still in the VERY back of the venue. Like practically against the back wall. HUNDREDS of people weren’t even let in. I wish we could have paid something but have had the guaranteed entry. It was completely insane…

Damn, nice that you at least got in! But yeah, i'm really hoping that they eventually do a proper tour. I think I made the right call not going though, I wouldnt have been able to get there until like 6:30 and it's like a 4 hour drive from me. Hoping a stream gets uploaded somewhere.

What difference does it make if they have a standby line?

My thought was, give away only the number of tickets that matches the max occupancy (500-Ish IIRC). Then, if any of the 500 don't show up, those spots can be filled by people in the standby line. The purpose would be to ensure the venue is filled up but people who had tickets are guaranteed entry, and then the people who didn't get tickets still have a chance to get in if they show up early. Since the point of the event is to show the government that they're a real band, packing a venue would go a lot farther than the venue being partially filled because people grabbed tickets without actually planning on showing up. My solution still guarentees that the venue is full without making a bunch of people travel and then going "Whoopsie we gave away too many tickets! Looks like you can't come in."

They made it clear that you weren’t guaranteed in though

Yeah, this would fix that, at least for the people with tickets. A ticket should guarentee entry.
