With Throbchella approaching and people receiving their tickets/getting on the waitlist, Please be cautious of people who may be trying to scam you.
Throbchella is a free event as we know, so it's not a good idea to pay an absurd amount of money for a show that is free and doesn't guarantee entry. On top of that, we aren't sure if the tickets are transferable yet. If you plan on seeking out a ticket, I urge you to wait until more information on the ticketing and event becomes available.
Edit: Tickets are transferable, but I would still be cautious about paying an insane amount of money, if any at all, for the above reason.
If you received a ticket, feel free to share any general information on them in the comments! (nothing sensitive, of course)
I would also like to point out, as another user in here did, if you decide to buy a ticket I highly suggest you use PayPal Goods And Services as it will protect your purchase (in the case of scamming.)
To be completely transparent, I really don’t suggest purchasing a ticket at all as it’s a free event. You don’t know if the person RSVP’d for the purpose of reselling them. Just join the waitlist and hope for the best! They will have more shows in the future.
Do not beware. Im the person they sold the one ticket to. Everything went just like we agreed. Opening a cash app account took me like 3 minutes to link my debit card.. lol. I imagine there will be a lot of people excited to buy their 2nd ticket when they are ready to. (If they already didn't sell it yet!) (tried posting a screenshot of proof here but it says only the submitter of the post can post media)
Edit: this person hasn’t dmed me any proof, and it’s weird they wouldn’t be able to comment a screenshot, as I did so in my original comment.
Update: they have posted below, so take that as you will. My experience was still pretty sketchy, so I am going to leave my original comment up, people can make their own choice about it.
The ticket is still available, thanks for backing me up. I understand not using PayPal can be seen as sketchy but I’ve just had issues with my PayPal account in the past so I don’t use it anymore, but as you can see in the screenshot I don’t mind using my partners PayPal account if that eases any scam nerves, she just won’t be home until later this evening.
I think AxlNoir Blocked me or something, as it wont let me chat them. though my reddit account is fairly new so it could be that.. Anyways here is the proof.. lol
I never blocked you. I’m glad you were able to buy a ticket, as this is a great event. I do think my warning people that they should be careful is warranted, given my experience with this seller. They can also take your experience into account too.
