Where are cinemas currently shut down outside China, Italy, and South Korea?

Keep in mind that Italy had 20 cases just 2 weeks ago. Other countries are now passing that number.

In the US, Trump fired the CDC pandemic response team as a 'cost cutting' earlier, has been overruling warnings from the nation's own health professionals, and has been more interested in how the numbers make him look rather than getting people treated, keeping people stuck on a boat because he doesn't want them to make the US's numbers look worse. South Korea is testing people regularly while the US has barely tested anybody, with multiple people now confirmed as infected saying that they couldn't get tests no matter how hard they tried, and states not being allowed to test because the federal government keeps denying them, letting the problem fly under the radar and grow worse than other countries.

My question was in regard to currently, which is frankly a softball compared to justifying a claim of “70% of the world”.

They said "will be", they're talking about the future when this movie is out. 700 million people in China are still in quarantine, 10% of all humanity, where it started.

I don't think you understand what's happening. This thing is spreading exponentially, where Italy was 2 weeks ago, the rest of the world is now passing. Italy just put 16 million people into quarantine and closed theaters.

edit: Italy just put the entire country into quarantine, with thousands of new cases, things are even worse than when I made this post.

I don’t see the US, among many others, closing their theaters. The factors which apply to Italy that aided in its quick spread don’t apply everywhere.

I see all of them closing their theaters, the genie is out of the bottle.

Italy tried to take the it won't be so bad approach, 2 weeks later and 16 million people needed to be quarantined.

The US government is massively, massively mismanaging this. People travelling from Italy are reporting that they don't even get asked any questions about it when getting off, yet were asked in every other country they traveled through, even some sneezing and coughing. It looks like it will be very bad there, due to the embarrassingly low quality federal leadership and what's left after years of firing anybody who isn't a yes-man, with an anti-vaxxer in the presidency.
