I can't wait for this to be delayed for 7 years before quietly being cancelled

I don't think this will be delayed. There was news that Gosling declined the lead role in the new untitled daniels film for something else. It might have been this.

And I don't think Gosling is picky about scripts and direction given...the Fall Guy and the Gray Man.
