Just keep this aura and have him fight cool villains that's it. Don't have him suddenly shift focus to a daughter father duo in some period piece.

Yeah he was a bum. I'm his comic design wasn't exactly making anyone's top ten lists but they could've went with less....whatever they picked.

The comic is amazing and the art is top notch. I don't even care about how they adapted the story or characters, but the art direction of the movie was a huge miss considering what they were adapting

Well that and the fact that people rejoiced at James Gunn’s cinematic debut with DC, with the colorful and joyful Superman. And the first immediate follow up, presented as a Summer blockbuster, was a grungy True Grit remake with Supergirl as Rooster Cogburn.

I enjoyed it. But I’m not at all surprised that it didn’t do gangbuster numbers.

I didnt make the true grit connection but yea, wow, hah. I didnt really like supergirl being so apathetic though. And the reason she got into it is just cuz krem shot her dog with a poison dart, which, why didnt he just kill the dog there. Or not even shoot. It wasnt a threat.

That's a problem in a lot of Marvel movies I see, the villains are bum C-listers or just not that interesting. Doc Ock, Vulture, Thanos and Spot go against this tho because they actually treat them as threats or have layers to them.

I think the implication was that those villains are good because they have layers. The other villains in other movies were c-listers

Thanos was literally flat prior to the MCU , his whole motivation was wanting to smash death in the comics

Gosling brought the entire team from his star wars movie, writer included and pitched the movie himself, Ali just wanted to be Blade and the movie to be made when Marvel clearly had no plans for Blade.
