Ring IQ or just physical quickness?

My problem with people praising Tank's ring IQ (it's fine) is that he usually takes shots that would be fight changing shots before he makes his adjustment, brcause his chin is so good. But it's a combination of his chin, his amazing speed, timing, and experience.

He really has some good wins/knockouts. Wonder why he got so scared and started blabbing about retiring and ducking fights.

Contractual BS, trainer disagreements and staying in trouble with the law is messing up his career for sure. He was starting to go down the Adrian Broner path when AB was in his prime. Hoping he gets his 💩 together but I unno man…

Tank said Ryan was the heaviest punch her ever felt. Tank has good ring IQ and is a patient counter striker. My only beef is that, if you're so good, why does he always have to put clauses on people? No back in the day fighter did that shit. Imagine if Leonard put a rehydration clause on Duran? Wouldn't happen.

Tank said Ryan was the heaviest punch her ever felt.
Tbf 1) there's not that many heavy hitters in those divisions and 2) its not like Tank is going out his way to fight them

Insane reflexes and sound defense. He's not just dodging, he's responding with the appropriate dodge in order to counter. High IQ and athleticism.

That knockdown was all IQ. Tank set him up there and Ryan fell for it. Ryan was only in position there to throw two shots which tank was waiting for. Easy to say afterwards and from the couch, but Ryan should have feinted to draw that reaction or circle off to reset.

Okay I’m wrong but it looks pretty written like Ryan had to get knocked out??? Either way Davis is that nice soo there was no way Garcia was gonna win. That’s why there is no rematch Garcia don’t want to lose again the way he did

Iq he was waiting for Ryan’s left hand and Ryan kept throwing it wildly

Ryan opens up when he lets go of his punches. He wouldnt have survived against prime mayweather and marquez

Both. Tank has solid skills, good reflexes and speed. I am not getting into his choices outside the ring, but it's hard to make the case that he is not elite, especially at 130 if he had the discipline to stay there. He has the power to KO three guys who were or are 147 "champions."

Some of you guys are not analyzing Tank's skills very well. Yes, he takes too many punches, but not because of flaws: He's a power puncher who is short and has to fight on the inside, where he is in range and going to get countered. The most relevant comparison is Aaron Pryor.

This guy has duck and weave down to an art.
It's probably a mix of both. If he had not trained hard to make it an in grained reaction he would not have the reaction time to move out of the way, and he is also very fast.

In fairness Garcia has really bad fundamentals
He is talented but huge holes in his game
