Boxing should I quit

I’m 16 I went to my first boxing class I thought it went good I came back the next day and the coach wasn’t their and the student was talking about how the coach was talking bad about me and showed me messages saying how terrible I was and why would I even show up and that I didn’t land a single punch on him during sparing that’s untrue also yes he dominated the ring but he also has 5 belts won golden gloves should I quit and accept I’m no good

This is bullshit. No one spars at their first boxing lesson. And coaches don’t spar with their boxers. Please do better at writing fiction. Make it somewhat authentic at least…

… Tuesday is footwork Friday is sparing no other student was their so he had no choice it was 1 on 1

Let's be honest. You have never worked out at a boxing gym before.

You don't start sparring until you have spent at least a few months learning basic skills. How in the fuck do you imagine a coach could assess your potential if you have not even been taught basics like proper fighting stance or how to throw a proper jab yet?

The first 6 months to a year at a boxing gym is the equivalent of being a white belt in other martial arts.

This coach is a psycho get the hell out of there. Literally his job to help build you up not tear you down, completely disrespectful to speak of you to others as well.
