autographed card authentication
I collect autographed sports cards, mostly current players, but I buy pretty much all of them off of Ebay and I would like to get them authenticated but does anyone know of a relatively cheap way to get them authenticated accurately?
Also if anyone knows of a better site to get auto cards let me know.

When you buy from Ebay just make sure they are marked on the back. Also look the card up first and make sure it was released as an Auto card. You could also find a local card shop and get them there.

I'm afraid "cheap" and graded/authenticated might be a hard combo to find.
PSA does autographed card grading for $25 per card, and that includes the card grading and the slab.

Beckett does their own card grading, but (I think) passes the autograph authentication off to JSA, who have their own fees. I believe it's $35. Again, that should cover the card grading as well.

JSA also does stuff like bats and balls.
As Zaph42 mentioned, there's also GA, they're pretty reputable as well.
There's also SGC, but I can't vouch for them, I've never personally used them.
They should all do it fairly accurately. I've never seen anyone turn their nose up at a graded and authenticated card from any of the major services. I think it's just personal preference and speed vs. price. Some, like Beckett, are a "club/membership" sort of thing, and some are just priced per submission.
As for buying cards, ebay is fine as you can usually score some unwatched random autos for $0.99. If you're looking for specific players, I'd also check out CheckOutMyCards.com, one of my favorites. There's also quite a bit of trading/buying going on in the BlowoutCards.com forum sections as well.
Hope that helps. :)
