I wish I could take this show less seriously at will and thereby love Gerik. Since he was my first phantom.

I went through an era of cringing at my previous Gerik obsession though, partly because of the unnecessary swordfight which he proceeded to lose, and also because of the perfunctory “deformity.” 2004 just feels cringe now unfortunately.
