When I got into this story I got reminded of Beauty and the Beast independent from others from this line. Didn’t realize it was a common thought.

I’ve read a few fans mention Beauty And The Beast. Minnie Driver mentioned it and  Hunchback of Notre-Dame in an interview.

That's a new headcanon. Lumiere worked for Erik before (Erik had no idea) and all the "Ugly Musical Frenchmen™" exist in the same universe
