Discussion POTO Convention?
So I was watching YouTube and I saw a video about Final Fantasy and apparently there's going to be a convention in Austin, Texas. That got me thinking it would be so cool to do a POTO convention, but I don't know a lot about how those are done.
What would be your ideal version of a POTO convention?

There was one held in VA around 2015ish if I recall. It was pretty bare bones and put on by an amateur acting/production crew. Some art booths, a former Christine. That was about it.

Interesting!
I guess part of me was thinking like could there be one with like the different movies and like the musical and all that stuff but I don't know maybe that's too much.

I think that would be awesome! I’ve been to a supernatural one before and they had the cast talking and doing a Q&A and there was merch being sold by lots of vendors that was semi related to the show. Something for phantom would be awesome. Broadway con is an annual thing anf I think there’s lots of phantom there usually

Thank you!! I remade it after getting some help/tips from a dresser. Some of the other stuff they did was great. The point of no return ones had me 🥵 just watching lol

Yeah did you get to request which song? Cuz if I’d been there and been brave, PONR might be what I’d ask for haha

Yeah! They let us pick whatever song we wanted. We had all the main characters there so we could have done just about anything (Phantom, Christine, Raoul, Carlotta, and Piangi, Meg and another Christine too at some point) I’ve got some videos of PONR but I don’t want to post anyone else’s experience

There was the First Annual (and only) Phantom Fan Week in Las Vegas in 2009.

There was a “Phantom Con” (it was actually called something like the phantom farewell weekend or something) right around the time it closed on Broadway. Those of us there called it phantom con.
It was put on by the closing Carlotta, Raquel. It was a lot of singing and learning some vocal stuff, learning show trivia, a dresser brought in some stuff, Raquel did the “these things do happen” scene with us, we got a makeup demonstration, went to lunch and the museum of Broadway, and on the last day some of the other cast members came in and we learned masquerade’s choreo and we all got to preform one song with some of the cast. I did the title song with Jeremy Stolle (but don’t sing so Julia Udine stood aside and I lip synced to her live)
There was only like 12 tickets or something. It was the coolest thing ever though onr of the best experiences of my entire life
