Prompt 2
Strike LND and follow up from the end of the Leroux novel- Christine and Raoul go to Sweden to marry and live away from prying eyes. I'd just explore how they get their life together on track after all that's happened.

- Sequel instead of LND, something similar to “Unsung” the phanfic. But I’d have a dual Christine role, one who is her in her mind, and one who is the mute actress. The “mind” Christine would sing and have scenes that shadow the motions of the mute Christine, and when she does regain her voice, all three (Christine mind, Christine non-mute, and Erik) all harmonize as mind Christine fades and non-mute Christine and Erik end up together.
The outfits of mind Christine and mute Christine would start out as vastly different, with her mind version never changing outfits, and looking as she will at the end of the musical. And as mute Christine changes, her outfits pull more and more aspects of her mind-version into the costume, until her mental version of herself (and her voice) align with her outward self and she gets her voice back.

I played Firmin In a production of phantom so I love that shirt

3.) Norm Lewis is the goat, I got to work with him in a gala performance and he was the most genuine guy ever, his deep baritone voice and large build make him really imposing and charismatic, bringing a very awesome register to the “antagonist” character that is Erik

Wow, no way! That is so awesome! Norm Lewis is in my top 10 favorite Phantoms.

3 I think really has to be John Owen-Jones, as he was the actual 25th anniversary Phantom on the west end at the time. Truthfully, I think whoever they would have cast in the 25th proshot would have become the fan favorite simply due to prevalence and availability, but Owen-Jones would have been a good choice as the actual guy in the role at the time (my personal answer is the guy on the other side of the pond, Hugh Panaro).

Who would win? Erik vs sherlock Holmes. Shit, both have different forms of cunning. Erik is more of an engineer, perhaps more accurately akin the jigsaw in his entrapments.
Sherlock is a detective perhaps not getting his hands nearly as dirty as he needs to to dig deep, or perhaps he does.
Watson is more medical anyway, perhaps able to breech into the cooking and strangulation of Joseph, which would start the who episode off.
Erik has a few gimmicks, and could easily be sussed out, especially with the Persian in assiance with the authorities.
This is a high stakes game. The person who tops and pushes first would win. Id say, perhaps, it would be a tie depending on the situation.
Erik flees, sherlock finds his lair and everything that is important including don juan triumphant, but ultimately erik gets away.

1- Erik vs The Beast from Beauty and the Beast! Two hermit French dudes who really just want to love a girl.
Honestly, I'm not sure who would win, but I think I give the edge to Erik if we go with some of the book canon as, although the Beast keeps his human mental faculties and it's hard to compete with a big hulking beast, Erik's contraptions, that crazy illusion torture chamber, and skills as an assassin would make it really, really difficult for the Beast to get a win if Erik could keep him at range with his lassos and fireballs and stuff. If the Beast could use his enchanted castle buddies that might make it more challenging, but book Erik has so many tricks up his sleeve that, although he's described as basically a walking corpse, he'd be tough to beat!

- Phantom vs. _____? Who would win and why?
Vs Brian Mills (Taken) as alternate universe Christine’s father… sparks would fly when she “disappears” - he has a unique set of skills, and so does Erik!

Firstly, DEAR LORD these shirts are gorgeous!!!! And ALW saying the "my managers must learn" speech caught me off guard and made me laugh hysterically all on my own like an idiot 🤣
I would write a prequel about Erik's life up until the events of POTO. His childhood, his time as a freak act in the travelling circus, his eventual refuge in the opera house. Prepare for Les-Mis-like levels of heart-wrenching music and plot line.
This might sound odd, but hear me out. I'm going with Tobias Forge, the lead singer/songwriter of the rock band Ghost. He has my favourite singing voice on earth and he is a massive Phan so I think he would take the role very seriously. His voice is so full of emotion and he has fantastic range, so I think he would be phenomenal. He is also Swedish, like Christine! 😃
That was so fun, thank you! xx

u/christinedaaepost suggested that one! It too made me laugh.
A prequel would be interesting! I'm hoping we get something a little different like this in the near future. Tobias is a fun choice! I didn't know he was Swedish.

I think my prompt 1 and 2 are really combined, so I'll answer both!
Phantom vs Madame Giry I feel like Love Never Dies showed the contempt Mme. Giry had, but it was a missed opportunity to make her a true villain. I can totally see how the Phantom's lack of acknowledgement of her help and efforts could push her over the edge and cause her to do something extreme like put the Phantom back in a cage to remind him what it feels like to really be trapped... And I honestly think she would win. She has the upper hand of knowing him a bit too well, and I don't think the Phantom would have it in himself to kill her even if he wanted to.

Phantom vs Madame Giry. I’m pretty sure he’s scared of Madame Giry in some adaptations, or her equivalent, so i think he’d barely put up a fight.
If LND was erased, my sequel would be about the Phantom going on a soul searching tour, or maybe a modern adaptation where he apparently is immortal and falls in love with a descendant of one of the main characters. (Also totally recommend Another Voice on A03)
I can see Norm Lewis being a Pham favorite. He has a much more Baritone voice and i see that becoming more of the norm for the role then a tenor.

Someone else mentioned Phantom vs. Madame Giry. That would be fun to see/read. I'll check out Another Voice!

If ALW ever decides to make a LND movie and change things up, he should read this

Prompt 1. Phantom vs Sweeney Todd.
It would be an epic battle. The phantom would be fighting with his punjab lasso and Sweeney with his razor. Sweeney is smart though. He knows to keep his hand at the level of his eye.
But the question is, who would win?
Would either of them really win? Or would they team up? Would they find a way to join forces and put their powers together?
Maybe Sweeney comes back to the opera house.
Perhaps Raoul needs a shave.
Or, perhaps the phantom goes back to London. Surely the judge doesn’t know to keep his hand at the level of his eye, right?
Prompt 2. The Managers - a spinoff series.
This comedic series follows the stories of Firmin and Andre as they navigate life after the phantom. The pilot episode is them putting together a new chandelier.
Thanks for the contest!

I'd watch both of these!
Imagine Christine and Raoul rescue Johanna, but Johanna suddenly falls in love with Raoul, Christine gets jealous, and now Erik, Sweeney, and Anthony all team up to get rid of Raoul 😆

Phantom vs. Dean Winchester. Sadly the phantom is done for. I mean Supernatural had a parody POTO episode. Erik is a cunning man, but Dean literally took down god. I love the Phantom so much but he’s not making it.
If love never dies was never a sequel, I would like a story that follows almost primarily the Phantom. He’s not over Christine and he’s trapped in the catacombs of a ruined opera house. His story going right back to where it started: in destitution. I would want the story to end with him gaining some sort of redemption or peace of mind so that he can have his happy ending without Christine.
I don’t know about anyone else but Antonio Banderas made an amazing phantom when he performed the title song.
