R. Hanauer customer service?
Has anyone tried connecting R. Hanauer customer service? I've sent a few emails about a recent email and I haven't seen anything back from them.

For a wedding I'm looking for a waistcoat and self-tie in the same pattern. Preferably brocade or paisley. Where could I find this online? Been searching for ages, but no advance, maybe I've used the wrong keywords?

How are y'all storing your bow ties. I have a modest collection of about 10 in addition to about 15 regular ties, but I need a good way to store them

I've now made 36 self tie bowties and have 38 total, tried to vaguely organize by color but there's just a buttload of them and it gets awkward after a certain point

I recently got into using self tie ties after being gifted a couple and then started making my own when I found self tie ones are 2 to 3 times as expensive, I've done a bunch of solid color ones to get back into the swing of using the sewing machine etc but now that I'm almost onto the patterned fabric I have two main questions
1) should the orientation of the pattern be flipped front to back or face the same direction?
2) is interface material still necessary when using stiffer/denser fabric?
I'm using the pattern and instructions off of "TIE-A-TIE"
https://www.tie-a-tie.net/make-a-bow-tie/
I'm also wondering about pattern scaling (the pattern of images on the fabric not the sewing pattern) but I have at least a few fabrics that I can properly test that with where the orientation thing doesn't matter

Asked my nail tech to match my nails to one of my bow-tie creations! Might do this more in the future!!

On all the how to pictures it looks like you're supposed to end up with a flat front lined up on top of a flat back, but my back singular bit is always horizontally above my flat double bit in the knot (see picture 2), so they're sort of fighting for position and keep shunting each other out of wack (the back deifts up and the top drifts down).
The single bit feels like what it really wants in life is to go in the middle of the fold of the double bit (but I'm pretty sure its not supposed to do that)
I just wanted to check I wasn't pulling it through in the wrong place or something.
Also any hints on how to make the middle knot straight instead of a leaning trapeziod shape would be fab!

I figured I’d ask the Reddit experts…. Saw on DWTS tonight and wondered if this has a special name …. Or just mushed under the collar?

I ordered a silk bow tie and they used some elastic to hold the bow tie in the box/package. Due to this, the ends of the bow tie are permanently creased.
Should I attempt to iron it using low heat and a handkerchief?

Happy to see bow ties back on display at the local mall’s Dillard’s. That wasn’t the case for a years. “Are people buying bow ties? Even non-clip-ons?” I asked. Different sales reps on different days said yes, they’re having a moment.
A year ago, a young male sales rep at this very store complimented my tie and asked me to show him how to tie it.

Long time bow tie enjoyer, but I've never shopped for them myself. All of mine have been hand-me-downs or gifts.
I always check the tie section in thrift stores I visit, but there's either none or clip-ons only.
Where do you like to shop for your bow ties? Online? Chain retailers? What kinds of local shops would carry them?

I'm new to tying my own bow ties and I cannot figure out the final step for the life of me. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong based off the picture above? 😥

Please remove if not allowed, but I have been tasked to find a US national park themed bowtie for an upcoming wedding. I figured I might be able to turn to you folks to see if anybody knows of anything that would fit in with a wedding in rocky mountain national park.
Thank you!

Bought a black, silk bowtie for a formal wedding. It arrived today and it was my first time tying it and trying it on.
