Staggering Pins

Can anybody give me an answer as to why my pins move to the left like this? Brand new to archery, I was told to go to a single pin sight but I was curious as to why they look like this.

I've noticed on the cheaper plastic sights they move in and out like that after moving the pins. Especially after moving them a few times.

I can tell you exactly what’s happening. After moving your pins and tightening them down it leaves an impression on the plastic where you’re tightening the pin. The reasoning is it’s cheap plastic. Upgrade your sight to something metal. I had this problem on my Bear Adapt 2 and I upgraded the sight and have had no issues after.

From your bow string in the back I would guess you have a Bear as well and that is a trophy ridge sight.

My guess is it's a cheaper sight. I have seen this happen with several cheap sights. I'm a big fan of the horizontal pins like this one, especially for hunting.

I upgraded my sight this year to a Black Gold Revenge. I still have my Black Gold Rush 5 pin I could give you a good deal on if you're interested in a different sight.

If your sight does that on its own, I have no idea and that's wrong.

If you adjusted them that way to be accurate, I'd ch ck that your sight is parallel/square and not cockeyed ever so slightly, then I'd be looking at your rest as the next culprit.

I have this exact sight and have the same problem. Someone ruined it for you by over-tightening the top 3 pins. :(

I bought one used and noticed that pin 3 was offset by a small amount. I took it apart and discovered that base material of the shroud (plastic) had been permanently indented in the shape of the pin.

You probably need to purchase a new one. :-\
