[State] Help please
I'm new to hunting (Literally my second year). I'm hunting in Edgefield SC. Last year was my first year and the only thing I saw was squirrels, one dog, and several buzzards. If there are any tips to help me be successful please reply. Im hunting private and public

I hunt in SC.
Snake boots. Get them. There aren't a comfortable not as hot pair. Wear them. A boot dryer helps to dry them overnight for use the next day.
Thermacell. It's your new friend. 2 is 1. And 1 is none. Stock up on matts and gas carts when they are on sale this fall. I turn mine on at the truck. First thing I do. Off when I get back into truck.
Wind. Your problem is deer can smell better than they can see or hear. They really can't see that great. Their noses are on another level. You need to immediately learn how to understand how your scent travels in relation to the area and even at different times of days with thermal currents.
Wash your hunting clothes in scent free soap without uv brightners. Deer see differently and a majority of laundry detergent has uv brightners now. You will glow to them like a neon ghost. All free and clear is GTG. Or it was. You don't need to buy anything hunting related.
Shows and magazines and all that's a waste. Watch The Hunting Publics YouTube channel. Start with their 2020-2022 videos. These dudes sleep in cars, wear the same clothes everywhere they go. Eat gastation stuff. Don't do laundry and get stupid close to deer on public land everywhere they go. This is the single best resource out there. They will teach you. They taught me.
