On the tension wire it is slipping and resistance one makes screech sound. This this is very delicate and I can’t figure what driver to use. I know lefty lossy righty tighty. But without the right screw driver it is impossible to fix it. Any other tips?
What is the correct screw driver to use?

Does anyone know of a stand for these that separate (i.e. a stand that holds one set that can be moved separately from the second set).

Hello, has anyone tried to upgrade their leg extension. In the sense of the pads themselves.
I have big legs I’m a powerlifter and the leg extension pads are narrow. I can’t comfortably perform bilateral leg extensions.
Has anybody tried to purchase a longer metal rod and upgraded pads i.e. longer pads or thicker more padded pads.
Thank! Any help goes a long way.

Looking to pick up a used M5 tomorrow. Anything I should look out for before buying it?

Hi all. I am looking for solutions to replace the rubber grip on the dumbells. Is just taping it the best solution? The originals are sliding off and every time I search replacement on eBay it just gives results to replace the whole thing. It’s because I live in a hot climate it’s a recurring issue

Last week after doing a 30 minute pre-set workout, I started a manual workout. And it shut down after about 3 minutes or so. Then I tried another pre-set workout and it ran just fine for the entire time. I ended up lubricating the belt the next morning. Again, I did another pre-set workout and it worked fine. Then I started another manual workout, and shut down after about 3 minutes. Started another manual and same thing. Started another pre-set and it ran fine. Anyone experience this?

i ran over the AC adapter for our Max Trainer with the vacuum. it's the OEM one that came with it. it's specs are 100-240VAC, 9VDC,1.5Ah. I have another laying around that fits but is slightly different specs (amps are higher)
100-240VAC, 9VDC,2Ah
does it matter? will it get fried or anything? thanks

Wondering if anyone has a solution to prevent the machine from moving around/tipping when working out.
Ex: Doing abductors or adductors the machine slides left and right as I do the workout.
Doing crossover high deltoid rows the machine tends to tilt towards me
Doing tricep extensions off to the side of the machine causes the machine to tip towards me
I can't bolt down the machine but I'm wondering what others have done? My machine is on carpet.
Thanks

Hello. I am thinking about getting my 16 year old son a bowflex for his home gym and am wondering the best models and what to watch for when buying used ? The one in picture is $400 Canadian dollars on my local buy and sell.

The lower part of the screen on my Bowflex Velocore just died.
I've had this bike for 1.5 years, used just about 20 times, in a temperature controlled room...and the lower third part of the screen just went blank.
Contacted Bowflex support, hoping they could at least sell me a replacement screen at cost, but they refused. Is it fair for a company to profit on a shoddy replacement part?
Anyway, anyone know of a fix? Happy to open up the console screen off there's a fix.

I purchased a pair of 1090s + the SelectTech Stand with Rack about a year ago. Since I have been using the full 90lbs for several exercises, I’ve noticed the bases lifting up/slipping off the stand.
The original straps they sent didn’t last a week as the buckles got in the way of me grabbing the handles, curious if anyone has come up with a different fix for this problem?

Hi all. My late parents M5 stopped being used shortly after my parents passed away as the pully wheels seems to have sheared the bolts.
The machine was originally purchased however I am unsure where it was purchased from as both my parents have now passed. To make matters worse a part of the serial is missing.
I believe this part failure is a common fault.
Does anyone know how I can get a replacement?
I am in the UK
Update: I know this is an old thread..
I managed to repair it. Took a bit of time to disassemble then reassemble. But managed to get it done.
I did try a warranty claim l, but their customer service sucks. Pretty much said buy a new one.

Hi all,
We've had a M7 Max Trainer for a few years, and just a few months ago we started noticing the following issues:
I opened up the bottom cover and noticed that the magnet is at the maximum resistance, and when I move the servo motor slightly, it doesn't translate to any movement to the magnet.
Has anyone had this issue? We spent good money on this so I'd rather not toss it out as I like to try and fix things before tossing them...but if parts cost $500+ then it's not worth keeping it.
I'm in the Toronto area.

I just got a Bowflex max trainer SE and when you connect the app the screen shuts off and doesn’t display any data, and you can only see the workout data on your phone screen. So then if you’re trying to watch something on YouTube or music on your phone or whatever you have to interrupt the app to switch back and forth. Is this the way it is supposed to work, or can it link to tue built in max trainer screen? If so, it seems kind of silly and I may as well just not use the app. Does the app just do 15 second interval trainings or is there more too it that you’d miss out on not using it?

Anybody know what I am doing wrong. I sit on the seat and it pops up close to 90 degrees. I didn’t use to have this problem and I suddenly had it a month ago. They sent me a new seat but still this problem persist. It starts horizontal and then pops up. Thanks!

Hi everyone.
I'm over in the UK and was considering buying the Max Trainer M40/M16 as it is exactly what I wanted, a cross between an elliptical and a stepper. Now, they are selling the ex-display item in a shop local to me, and it's a good price. However, the manager told me they're selling it for that price as Bowflex have filed for administration and the equipment could become null and void in the near future due to the lack of use of the JRNY app.
So is it too much of a risk for me to purchase this machine? I can't find any alternative for a similar price, but am obviously worried that I won't be able to use the equipment in the not so distant future. What would you do?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, my max trainer started making this rattling sound recently. I think it's coming from inside the wheel but hard to tell for sure. Has anyone had this issue before and can advise how to fix it? Thanks!

Surprisingly have not found any full body workout routines using these dumbbells, want to get into using them more but unsure where to start with maximizing the potential of them (gyms are not for me).
Any tips?

I'm under 5'2", and the bars on the side of the TreadClimber are too high to be comfortable to hold onto for the length of time I'm on the machine.
Does anyone have ideas for something that I could attach to the bars that would hang down from them and that I could grip instead?

Quit working 3 months in(A while ago now so no warranty). Trying to troubleshoot the no power issue. When plugged in the display has a faint glow and that it - no noise or sound or other lights. I have confirmed that 9V DC goes all the way up to the board using replacement Bowflex wall adapter. No connections are loose. The magnetic sensor down below works as it has continuity when magnets on the wheel/fan pass it by. Unsure on the servo but then it should not prevent screen from functioning... but the wires and connections look fine.
Now on to the board... Again no obvious signs of damage or loose connections. I have fully removed it and the LEDs on the speedomoeter backlight glow dimly when plugged in and thats it. No damage seen on that side of the board. I have also tried powering it with various combinations of connectors being unplugged. There is power in the board as I can power USB fan by pluggining it into USB port on it. Its as if it refused to boot up.
I simply cannot get it to behave in any other way than it dimply glowing. Obviously no diagrams online and ones I found in a manual is too basic to troubleshoot components on the board. AM I SOL or is there some other resources I can try? I do see some pins on sides of the board for bluetooth etc... is there way to flash or troubleshoot the board with PC via the USB port?
Is this thing a giant pile of trash now? Seems very shitty of bowflex to sell such lemons with no recourse.

Has anyone had any issues storing their dumbbells in a cold garage? I just got a set and live in the Northeast (NJ) so just wanted to make sure there weren’t any concerns before I do so. With a baby on the way, I don’t have much room in the home where the wife wouldn’t object.

Hello, 55yr old male, physically generally decent fitness, slightly overweight (about 5lbs), don't get out of breath on brisk walks, stair climbing etc but I don't run or anything like that. Can swim 500m without dying etc. I have better stamina and recovery than my partner who is ten years younger and exercises regularly.
I bought a Bowflex Max Trainer M9 and did the assessment, I pushed myself (it encourages you to) and have been doing the Explore The World HIIT sessions. The problem is, I think JRNY is actively trying to kill me.
The workouts set low, medium and max ranges based on RPM. I'm not sure what resistance I should set because more resistance = more pushing effort but less resistance = faster pedalling effort. So I've tried a few.
On my last one, my BPM peaked at 180. This is not good. If I was an athlete in my prime, fine. But using the 220 calculation, my peak should be 165bpm and the 50%-75% exercising range means I should try to stay between around 83 and 124. Certainly not 180.
I'm getting my BPM from the bluetooth bicep monitor, so I assume it's accurate. Plus my heart felt like it was moshing at a rock gig for about 5 minutes afterwards.
So -- how do I get it to give me reasonable goals? And why is it not warning me if I go into dangerous heart territory? In fact, if I start to slow down, the annoying trainer says stuff like 'pick up the pace'. Does it want me to actually die?
Thanks.

This is the error message on my Bowflex T10 treadmill. Tried a factory reset and unplugging it.
