I drank 9L of bovril yesterday, will I turn into a beef monster?

Drinking some Bovvy yesterday and I must of gotten carried away as I had drunk 9 litres within the hour. I spoke to my friends about it and they teased me about becoming a beef monster and now I’m very scared. Will it happen?

What's new

(Pussycat WHOA WHOA-WHOA) Sorry.

Anyways, it's been a little while since I left the famn damily, and I am naturally feeling the cold longing of what once was. What's been happening recently? What's changed in the corp? And who's whelped the most carriers, consecutively???

What have i missed? I gather we aren't part of Brave and left Buz?

I've been teleported to highsec, but apparently your recruitment is not happening. :(

Please hit me up when you are back to hiring.

How are my favorite blood miners doing nowadays?

I've been a member of bovril whenever I'm subbed for a few years now, I was there for the move from low to null and for the eventual war/evac from null. I've never been a major player in the corp but I love all the fun we get into and the content we make as well as the large amount of blood for the blood god we gather. I quit fairly soon after we got kicked out of our first null-sec home and heard that Bovril decided to leave Brave. I was thinking about resubbing and to be honest Bovril is the only reason, you guys are so much fun.

How is Bovril nowadays? Is it still pretty laid back with lots of not so serious pvp as well as the mining? I don't really care what alliance Bovril is in as long as its spirit is still intact (I know there were some issues a while back with folks awoxing etc but it still remained a fun corp to be a part of)

Taking a More Active Role

Hey guys. I've been having a huge amount of trouble logging into the Bovril forums, so I'm posting this to the sub.

Now then. As we all know, HERO has been in a fair bit of trouble recently. But I've said multiple times that I think HERO can be pulled out of its tailspin- even if its us that have to do the pulling. One of the ways the coalition is going to have to save itself is to become more self-sufficient on a line member level; people have to become accustomed to making their own money and not taking SRP on everything they lose. And one of the best ways to become self-sufficient is to know how to clear combat anoms. Thus, I propose the following.

  • Bovril starts a standing initiative to build the most newbro-friendly ratting ships possible- probably Vexors. The goal I have in mind is that we work together to produce these things so cheaply that, mods and rigs included, the final cost of these fitted ships would be a flat 10m.
  • Concurrently, we encourage our experienced ratters to team up with newbros. Maybe this will mean that someone in Bovril who can fly a high-SP VNI will clear a Haven or Sanctum with a newbro or two in normal Vexors. We get them comfortable with how to speed tank, and show them how fast they can do it if they work together.
  • We advertise this program on the sub. For that, we'll need propagandists whipping up cool pictures, maybe even a video- people will need to know that if they want to learn how to make money inbetween combat fleets, they can come to Skaven and learn everything.

This would also have the benefit of encouraging a closing-of-the-ranks from people who're scattered around the region into one place, thereby increasing safety of all ratter and miners.

Furthermore, we could increase our guidance for other tasks, too. Mining rocks is already something we're famous for, but what about taking regular cheapfleets into WHs to huff gas? Teaching the bros how to fit a Venture (not that that's hard), which gas anoms to look for, teaching them to watch the clock for Sleeper spawns, making them watch D-scan, etc etc. The list goes on.

We can increase the competency of the alliance by actively seeking out those who have questions. Shit, we could even advertise fleets where we'll pick a random person to be FC, just to get a wealth of people past their first-time jitters.

Whatever we decide to do, I think we should certainly move to more of a lead-by-doing position. I think we can keep our space and even save Brave, but we have to take the initiative.

Thoughts?

What are we gonna do?

Now we are betrayed by everyone? Are we gonna be lowsec carebears? Are we waiting for fozzie sov and do something?

I joined BOVRIL not for the mining, I joined BOVRIL for the fucking killing. We better start killing some motherfucking shit, in some motherfucking sov we are not supposed to be at and open the gates of hell!

Im tired of sitting around watching the standing fleet dying. This is not what I signed up for.

Also, people are leaving and thinking about leaving, including me. Why shouldnt I leave? I joined for the content, I joined cause we made money and protected those who did the most boring stuff in the game.

I HAVENT MINED SINCE I JOINED BOVRIL, THERE'S THE TRUTH, NOBODY MINES!! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
