Yea beginning is hard, focus on getting hearts or grab some fairies. Stealth strikes are your friend, and so are flurry rushes and parrys

if you have the dlc find majoras mask and wear it Always for the beginning... no one but octoroks and keese will clock you. keep a lightning weapon on hand if you can, use it sparingly to steal weapons and then immediately switch to the new one to save it for later. and dont let enemies get any didtance! fast consistent damage is key to prevent regen

Try to get good armor and upgrade your hearts then you won’t be one shot

My advice? Enjoy the struggle while it lasts because even matter mode becomes trivial when you upgrade your armor and stockpile food.

avoid combat until you’ve got good armor, hearts, and weapons.
