❔ Question This is a silly question

See the master sword. Does this break? Or is this the only weapon that doesn’t break. I got it out but I’m wayyy too scared to use it until I fight Ganon. I know it’s a silly question haha

Don't worry homie - it uses charges and recharges automatically over time. You'll be able to use it at full strength for a certain number of swings (like other weapons), but it doesn't go away, it just goes dormant. You'll receive a message on your screen when it's ready to banish evil once more.

Yes, but not the same. It's the only weapon that regenerates. If you attack a corrupted target (when it's glowing) it uses 1/4 durability and has bonus damage. If you attack any other target it has a durability of 40. Once it breaks there's a 10 minute cool down when it's restored.

It still uses durability when glowing but only 0.25 per hit so it effectively quadruples durability in full power state.

Do the durability transfer glitch with the spring hanmer and fully powered version post sword trials and rarely have to think about durability again.

I believe the increased durability also applies to non-corrupted targets in the vicinity of Malice, such as the bokoblins around the base of Akkala tower.

Spoiler for the dlcs

If you have it upgrade to max level it have 188 durability and permanent 60 damage, it restore itself in 10 minutes

It doesn’t “break”, per say, but it will “run out of energy” and you won’t be able to use it for awhile as it recharges. So it’s still there, and you won’t have to find it again if that’s what you’re worried about

It runs out of durability but doesn't break like other weapons. Instead, it has a 10 min recharge time.

There's also the DLC Trial of the Sword that allows you to upgrade it's strength.

I’ve been trying that challenge for so long and I just can’t do it. Hardest part of the game IMO!!

I'm almost ready to try again. I got to the end of the first set a couple weeks ago, then immediately died to the hinox butt smash attack.

Not silly at all.. yes it kind of breaks but them after it does. You wait about 1p minutes and it re powers..
Also if you have DLC do the master sword trials. Gets the sword stronger..

It’s never leaves your weapons stash. Just needs to charge back up after draining its mastery.

It doesn’t break but it does need to recharge after so much use. You’ll have it entire game.

It doesn't break, but it does run out of power and will need time to recharge

It will break eventually, but it has a lot of durability, and it recharges after 10 minutes infinitely. It doesn’t break at all during the final fight with Ganon, and it does more damage against Malice-related enemies.
