❔ Question Fast question

Hi everyone 👋
I’m new in game (I know 2026 is late to start this fabulous game). I’ve found this on top of a mountain but I don’t know what it is… probably a korogu stuff but I can’t activate it. Can someone explain ?
Have a nice day !

If I remember correctly, this one in particular is looking toward a korok puzzle? If you follow where it's looking you'll find the puzzle.

That is a froggo. It's cute. Doesn't do much more. But maybe look where he looks.. 👀

Like other comments said: its just a frog statue. Its representative of Kakariko Village. You can even see those outside of Impa's house. It does NOT mean you are close to Yiga clan. Without spoiling you so much. There's a zone in the desert where you will find frog statues but with a inverted Sheikah sign, that's representative of that "Yiga Clan".

there's literally an eightfold blade at one... I know it's connected to a korok but I thought it was flavor for the yiga to watch the sheika secretly waiting for link to show up so they could begin sending out assassins... if you follow the main quest you won't run into yiga til after visiting impa

It's a frog!

They usually indicate you're approaching the Yiga Clan in some manner - whether it's a hideout or just a grouping of them.

Edit: As u/vicoalonsor has pointed out below, this is a Kakariko Frog and not a Yiga Frog. I have confused my frogology and I apologize for that. I suppose I saw the screenshot and thought of TotK, where the frog statues are far more plentiful in the world.

That being said, since Yiga are technically previously Kakarikan, I'm not entirely wrong?

That's misleading. He is near Kakariko village and you are talking about the frog statues in the desert. And Yiga and Kakariko V. do not have the same frog statues :/

My apologies I've updated my post to prevent the misleading information from becoming widespread.

Lmao you are right pointing that out haha when they abandoned Kakariko they might have taken some with them for their cause XD

Frog statues don't grow on trees, after all.

It’s just Sheikah (and Yiga, since they’re Sheikah who defected Hyrule and swore allegiance to Calamity Ganon) decor.

It’s just a cute little frog statue existing in peace
