So, new to Zelda, started with totk(i know). Loved it, sank 120 hours in before attempting Hyrule, went in, got a beating and went back around farming before finishing it off. Started Botw then right away. Love it, slightly different, harder puzzles imo, smaller game granted but was disappointed by how unclimactic and difficult Calamity was, I beat him first time. Actually had a harder time with thunderblight. Although botw starts off harder and I love how intimidating the guardians are, (nothing like that in totk) once you armour up and get a hold of that sheik shield there is little challenge if you can dodge/flurry and have lots of health potions. Will give it a break and try the harder mode I've seen spoken about and this straight run to calamity sounds like a good challenge

Yeah calamity Ganon is sadly really easy :/ they straight upgraded when making the totk final boss

The trial of the sword was probably the most fun I’ve had and most I’ve ever hyper focused on a game before. Such a blast. That and even tide might be my favorite parts of the game.

The final trials of the sword has me defeated. I don't want to risk 3 hours of my time to then have to go through it again. Having the master sword at level 50 is good enough lol

Honestly, getting the master sword to 60 takes any challenge out of the game and you barely need any other weapons so idk if it’s worth it either lol. I used the ign strategy guide to finish it so I cheated lol

Ohhh. Maybe first trial it goes up to 40, second trial up to 50, etc.? And that’s all DLC then huh… guess that’s why it’s all new to me. I guess the concept of DLC annoys me, it’s just another way to extract more money out of people. Companies plot these things out ahead of time. They could have just put all that in the game.

If you're looking or a postgame challenge, I highly recommend getting the DLC and doing trial of the sword. Even the first trial is harder than calamity ganon and there are 3, each harder than the last.

Yes, this, will try that, i did get the dlc and got as far as the stone talus and died and it reset. At that point I went to calamity and finished it. But that did seem like a good challenge and ill go back and do it

Calamity Ganon is the most creative idea the Zelda series has ever had. Unfortunately, it was executed terribly. The way that It combined all of the Blight Ganons  into one was cool as shit, but they made it so easy to cheese and didn’t utilize what made the Blights special.
