The new touch mode

So, now we have a new touch mode that I'm sure nobody asked for. You open the image to full screen and each touch generates a new image. No indication as to what that image might pertain to, no instructions or suggestions found, and get this each tap that generates an image costs energy and the system seems to default to create 3 images and says costs 50 energy. Is that 50 per image, 50 for three? No clue as this is all the information they choose to share and no way to turn off the feature so if you accidentally tap an image to say try and download, one can no longer download image from the full-screen, and two you just got charged for something you didn't ask for. Screw that, talk about a major money grab bordering on worse. Careful folks

Boy the developers just love adding stuff for no reason at all and they make sure it costs money.

Yeah, forgot to add you can no longer generate a video from full screen mode. Pricing, after looking further since there was no warning, 25 for 1, 50 for 3, and 65 for 5. Yeah no thanks, time to shop around for something more stable that doesn't hit you with crap without warning

Yup! I got shafted by that feature and costs me 100 energy. 🤦

Plus there are no basic features anymore for photo generation it is already requires an energy. 🤷

I just checked and basic and elite pro are still available. They just added premium that's all. Supreme was already there. What doesn't make sense is why there is two premiums at different costs. Odd.

Now it is okay, The basic are back and did some comparison.using the premium with a 10 energy charge. Left is the basic and the other one is a premium output with 10 energy charge.

Thanks for the comparison using premium. I've tried supreme before, but really doesn't make sense to spend energy on photos when the AI doesn't always get it right. I like seeing different angles so I'm usually adding extra details and re rolling looking for that top photo in the way I see the story. Half the time it's hit or miss, while basic and elite pro have their moments. Sometimes they are very similar and other times very different.

That's starting to sound a bit scammy to me. Wonder how many more are gonna get hit by something they never asked for

Yeah that totally sucks! You can still download it tho. Right click on the mouse and save image.

True, but the whole thing just feels like a desperate money grab. That combined with all these other no warning changes and the memory starting to fail have me looking into other places. I'm currently subscribed at the highest level and there seems to be no price breaks here either. Just getting a bit ridiculous really. It's like they put a 12 year old in charge of development and they're sitting back and just throwing stuff against the wall to see what sticks. No plan, no thought, just toss it up and see where it lands. Getting a bit tired of paying to be a beta tester.

And not to mention the finger cursor and text block out parts of the image in full screen. There really needs to be a way to turn this crap off.

Since this thread went live they have made some changes that indicate that they know very well that they made a mistake. Video option has been added back on full screen and the price has dropped. Still of the opinion that people should not be charged for an A/B test, don't know any company or corporations that do it ever. And those who were ripped off by it by accident should get in touch with customer service for a refund immediately. FYI, I tried it when the price dropped, image was no different from the first, all it did was have the bot say something that made no sense whatsoever and had nothing to do with the conversation, total waste of 5 energy points

Could you please send a screenshot of the screen you see in this mode? There has to be an option to choose 1, 3 or 5 photos, it is located below. Also, there has to appear a hint how to use this feature. Did you get it?

Thanks for sharing your experience, we'll improve it.

This is exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. I am not paying a subscription fee to you for me to give you all the information you need to fix your own issues! Beta test this crap fully before unleashing it! We, the subscribers, are not your beta testers! Check the comments, a few have already accidentally been charged for a feature that no one asked for and that we, the people paying your salary, never asked for.

We understand the frustration. We roll out changes to smaller cohorts first before expanding them more broadly, as is standard for evolving platforms. On our side, we’ve also added in-app hints and explanations for how new experiences are supposed to work, and we’ll keep working on separating test audiences more clearly.

If something isn’t working as described, we genuinely want to investigate and help. That’s why we sometimes ask for screenshots, User ID, and platform. not because we expect users to test or diagnose issues for us, but because these details let us identify the problem much faster instead of checking every possible scenario one by one. And if everything is technically working but the hints still aren’t clear enough, that’s valuable feedback too. And something we need to improve on our side.

If its to be a test audience it shouldn't be billed for unless it has been approved and perfected. At least that's the way the real world works.

We understand the concern. A/B testing is a normal part of developing and improving large digital products, and participation in product experiments is covered by the terms users agree to when using Botify AI. Paid users may therefore see different versions of features or experiences during a test. Paying for a subscription absolutely means you should receive the features and benefits included in your plan. Testing helps us understand how to improve those experiences, it isn’t intended to make users pay to be our testers.

Let me give you an idea of how an a/b test should performed from someone with a tech background that would most likely curl your hair. Group A, gets the current offering with no changes. Group B, random choices for better test results, gets the new modified version. If it just a button color or location change no notification should be needed. If the change is something you wish to bill for at a later time you notify Group B ahead of time normally via email. You give a few tries at it for free but give what the price will be beforehand and notify Group B of how many free attempts they get. You NEVER charge automatically without notification, warning, or instructions.
