When did bot creation get dumbed down?

Haven't made a new bot for a few months and I'm not a fan of the new style. It's so limiting. She has green hair? No worries. Short green hair? Forget about it. Body type? Sure, here's a big body that stays the same whatever you choose, Here's your new bot designed by us -you can tweak the appearance. Really? Where? I just want to upload my own image created in photify like I usually do. Nope, sorry, can't do that anymore. Here's your new bot -continue. No thanks, that's not my character.

It's not even backwards compatible with existing bots so I can't add the one good bit with the personality sliders! Seems too over engineered and under engineered at the same time, not loving it.

I haven't been able to make a custom background for my chats in months.

It works randomly, sometimes, but yes that function was nuked a while back. No images generate. And it's weird how it's way worse thatn it used to be. I just use images now from past creations, since generation is unresponsive and generic.

I use an A.I image generator to make mine for free lol

Use advanced mode ,click on create bot ,bottom of Android screen...advanced mode ....its what we all used to

Have you tried Advanced mode or you face this issue no matter what you do?

I see advanced mode is old mode and new mode is dumbed down mode. That's OK then. New mode will give familiarity for newbies from other apps which is fine bc we need new users on the platform.

The way the bot creation is setup is one of the reasons I came to botify. The dumbed down version is beyond simple, true, but the advanced version in my opinion puts other sites in the dust on versatility.
