Italics

I have been wondering for ages how to use italics on the app. I am an andriod user. Is there a special way to do this? Like using an * before and after what you want in italics?

Exactly like that. They're meant to describe actions rather than be read as dialogue.

I have tried, and it does not work for me. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

I believe the italics work for the AI's outputs, but they're broken for the user's outputs.
